John D. Cameron, Jr., P.E., is the founder and Managing Partner of Cameron Engineering & Associates, LLP, as well as Chief Executive Officer of Cameron Engineering & Associates of New York, PLLC.
The Firm serves the public and private sectors alike in the New York Metropolitan Area and beyond. Under Mr. Cameron’s leadership, Cameron Engineering has grown into being one of the region’s premier engineering and planning firms, having received local, state, and national awards for many of its projects.
An engineering graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, Mr. Cameron also holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from Long Island University and has an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Molloy College. He is a licensed professional engineer, marine engineer and a U.S. patent holder.
Mr. Cameron serves on numerous boards including those of charitable, educational and environmental organizations, including the Long Island Regional Planning Council, where he serves as Chairman; Engineering School Advisory Boards for Hofstra University and SUNY Stony Brook, the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County and is a Regional Industry Council Leader for the Long Island STEM Hub in support of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Education.
