Theodore Roosevelt Center

Working in collaboration with New York State, LIPA installed a geothermal heat pump at the newly renovated New York State Nature Center located at Jones Beach State Park. Also installed was a 20 kW Atlantis Energy Sunslate PV grid parallel system (consisting of individual roof tiles, each having a PV cell).

The geothermal system supplies all of the heating and cooling required by the building, with the PV system offsetting the site’s energy requirements.
