CheckMe! Tune-Up Plus $100 Rebate
A LIPA CheckMe! tune-up is a highly accurate way to assess the status of your cooling system’s refrigerant charge and air flow, the two key elements to air conditioning efficiency. It is a non-obtrusive process that involves only the use of hand-held diagnostic equipment.
CheckMe! is Simple and Convenient
- A participating Tune-Up Contractor will test your central air system using the CheckMe! evaluation protocol.
- The results will be computer-analyzed and within minutes, you’ll know how efficient your system is.
- Based on the results, the participating Tune-Up Contractor will make recommendations regarding what, if any, adjustments/repairs should be made to your system, and the costs to make those improvements.
Tune-Up Requirements
- The system must be operable prior to tune-up
- The system was installed prior to January 1, 2005
- The checkup may be done as a special visit or during normally scheduled maintenance, tune-up or repair work.
Applying for Your Rebate
All you need to do to receive your $100 rebate is complete the rebate application with your participating Tune-Up Contractor (you can choose to receive your rebate by check or as a bill credit). The contractor will then submit the application and required documentation to LIPA. Please allow up to 60 days for receipt of your rebate check or bill credit.
