Manager of Power Contracts
The Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), a corporate
municipal instrumentality of the State of New York, seeks
candidates for the position of Manager of Power Contracts. This
position will be responsible for the day-to –day administration
of LIPA’s power supply and related contracts with generation
developers, IPPs, NYPA and other suppliers. The incumbent
participates in the negotiation of PPAs, interconnection
agreements, facilities agreements and wheeling agreements. This
position will also actively participate in the development and
administration of RFPs for new power supplies.
The successful candidate will possess at a minimum 15 years experience with electric utilities and demonstrated experience and expertise regarding power supply, interconnection and facilities agreements; finance; economics, rates and regulatory (FERC/PSC/DEC) practices. An undergraduate degree in engineering, economics or business is required; a MBA is preferred.
