Additional Bill Payment Options

Balanced Billing Program
We offer a Balanced Billing payment plan that spreads out your energy costs over the year. At the end of your billing year, any difference between total payments and your actual energy costs will be added to -- or subtracted from -- your last bill of the budget year. This program does not reduce your energy costs, but helps you budget household expenses by avoiding high summer and winter bills. To learn more, enroll online or call 1-800-490-0025 or our local number, 631-755-6000.

DirectPay Program
If you want to guarantee your payment gets to us on time or simply avoid the hassle of check writing, we have a great program for you. It's called DirectPay, and it gives you the ability to have your electric bill paid directly from your bank account automatically, and for FREE! You will continue to receive your bills to review them before a single penny is transferred. Learn More

EasyStreet
With EasyStreet, we make the bill paying process simply effortless! When you sign up for EasyStreet, you now can spend the time you usually spend paying your LIPA bill doing something more enjoyable! It couldn’t be easier. Learn More

Estimated Billing
If your meter is inside your home and we cannot gain access, we will issue an estimated bill, based on previous bills. Occasionally, we issue estimated bills for outside meters. To prepare an estimated bill, many factors are considered, including your past usage and weather conditions during the billing period. Reading your meter provides us with the actual amount of electricity you use. Any difference between our estimate and your actual use is automatically adjusted, on the next scheduled visit.  Avoid estimated billing! Learn how to enter your own meter reading.
